Technical requirements
Requires SharePoint Online with a tenant-level App Catalog. The web part requests read-only Microsoft Graph permissions covering subscribed SKUs, user licence assignment and Office 365 usage reports — a tenant admin approves them once via SharePoint Admin → API access. Viewers need a directory role that can read tenant directory and reporting data. Figures populate only where your Microsoft 365 licensing and reporting availability expose the underlying signals.

Where does the cost figure come from?
From your own tenant. The web part reads subscribed SKUs, per-user licence assignment and Office 365 usage reports via Microsoft Graph, then applies your list price per SKU to the idle/inactive licences it finds. It's an indicative figure to drive a conversation, not an invoice — your actual Microsoft agreement pricing may differ.
Does it move or reclaim licences for us?
No — it's read-only by design. It surfaces where the waste is so your admins can act in the Microsoft 365 admin centre. Nothing is changed in your tenant by the dashboard.
Does any data leave our Microsoft 365 tenant?
No. The dashboard reads Microsoft Graph inside your tenant and renders client-side; exports are generated in the browser. The only outbound call is the standard SharePoint Forge licence heartbeat that verifies your subscription — see Privacy Policy §2 for the exact fields it sends.
